Clear the Fake Articles

Dear Reader,

We seek your support!

Short Summary:

• David Otto proved to be a genuine musical prodigy from age 5 — writing songs by 6, mastering blues guitar by 10, winning awards, landing ARIA-nominated Billboard Top 20 stage time, and performing on national TV to 2 million people by 21.
• His mother Shirley poured pure support into his talent, bought him his first electric guitar, listened to every tape he made, and openly told him her home was his as she had already bought his brother a home to raise a family.
• Brother Jamie began taking from David early — Christmas cash in 1989, then his red Stratocaster Shirley bought him at age 11, stolen and sold for cash.
• After marrying Dee, Jamie’s financial pressure and aggression toward Shirley escalated until she declared him out of the will and confirmed her house was for David, since she had already bought one for Jamie and Dee and their kids.
• Shirley died in 2008. Within days Jamie, Dee and aunt Carole looted the house of cash, jewellery, photos, furniture and appliances.
• They immediately rented the property out on a forged will without the required probate, funneled the rent through Ray White (where Dee worked as trust account controller), and kept all the money.
• David was left alone to read the will. Later expert review confirmed it was invalid due to forgery.
• When David tried to live in the house as his mother intended, Jamie threatened to kill him, neighbours were incited into violence (bricks, nail-gun, axe chase), and police did nothing to stop the targeted campaign – which led to displacement back into homelessness while Jamie and Dee rented out his home again, while still having their own.
• In 2014 Jamie and Dee then looted the same house again — taking David’s guitars (including the red Strat which they then sold), computers, jewellery, documents and cash — then resumed collecting rent and keeping it all.
• David rebuilt with weekly paid music events and designed a stadium-scale concept to launch his career and fund legal recovery of the estate. He announced to his family he would be correcting all their wrongdoing and get a proper accounting of the estate. He then received death threats from family for beginning that process. But it quickly got far worse than verbal threats.
• A journalist named Patricia Higgins (later discovered to be in the employ of aunt Carole who had unlawfully benefited financially from collecting rent on the property Shirley left for David to live in) infiltrated as a promoter, then sabotaged the entire team with false claims and a public Facebook post telling people not to buy tickets and to contact police to defeat his income for legal support to combat the inhertance theft.
• Patricia then texted him, “Don’t make this any worse for yourself.”
• The forged will was then used to transfer Shirley’s property away from him illegally, then on the exact same day, just 38 minutes later, Channel 9’s ACA ambushed David at his music studio with Patricia as the lead “fraud victim” – though she had never purchased anything from him.
• The 2015 ACA story and follow-up pieces falsely claimed he was not a real musician, never performed at his own events, and that people should call police if they heard of him putting on shows – even though he was a career musician featuring in over 500 musical events since age 12.
• Editors stripped his performance footage and original music from his own video clips to make the false narrative stick.
• The articles destroyed his income overnight — students quit, venues cancelled, supporters fled, and death threats began.
• Further articles, biased court processes, and media pressure stripped the remaining inheritance, forced sales, killed 16 healthy cats on the property, and left him homeless.
• In 2022 his long-time drummer Kittie was recognised from the still-published articles, falsely arrested, and subjected to a violent sexual assault by officers before being held in a mental institution for months.
• The fake articles remain online, continue to generate new threats and false reports, and actively block David from rebuilding the music career his mother wanted to flourish.
• Total documented losses from the inheritance theft and career sabotage now far exceed $3.5 million.
• Signing the petition creates the public record and support needed to clear the false articles, stop the ongoing harm, recover what was taken, and let David finally deliver the level of music success his mother and many others always backed him for.

Musician David Otto grew up in Brisbane in the early 80s.

David started playing piano at age 5, wrote his first songs at age 6, and taught himself blues guitar at age 10. His generous mother took great joy in her son’s growing talent in music. He was destined to be a superstar, fulfilling every parent’s proudest dream, and he actually possessed the ability to achieve it.

David

Shirley had two sons. She was a bookkeeper by trade and, in day-to-day life, on birthdays and at Christmas, she was extremely even-handed with both of them.

Christmas 1989
Shirley gave an envelope with $500 to each of her sons. Jamie scowled at David as he received his own envelope, even though Jamie had his own. Jamie seemed more interested in taking what David had than using his own $500 to good effect.

Later that morning, on the way to a larger family gathering, Jamie asserted he wanted to take just David with him in his car. Jamie took a significant detour to an industrial estate he worked at. He drive in, got out and closed the roller door to the warehouse and began screaming at David that he had to give him the Christmas money but David did not still have the envelope on him.

Days later, Jamie appeared at the door where David lived with his adopted mother Mary (Shirley’s sister) and asked to borrow the money. Jamie stated he had a credit card bill and seemed to be under extreme duress. David loved and trusted his brother Jamie, so David agreed. Jamie never returned the money.

The next year, as his music skills grew, David was self-teaching from records on Mary’s acoustic guitar so for Christmas, Shirley got him a little red stratocaster electric guitar as an upgrade. David was soon practising four hours a day, writing and recording songs, and would give her tapes of the recordings as gifts. She listened to them constantly. They were good.

Jamie got a motorbike and crashed it. Jamie would then later steal the red guitar to sell it.

Jamie

In the mid 90s, Jamie and his soon to be wife Dee lived with Shirley for a short period as guests in her home. Shirley was expecting a call from an old friend in England, the phone began ringing. Without a word, Dee picked up the phone receiver to connect the call, then hung straight up to stop it ringing then walked off. Shirley was aghast at this and they always fought after that, true display of her character. It was one of most reductive and disrespectful things he’d ever seen a person do.

Dee

1997 Jamie and Dee would soon though move into a house with loan guaranteed, and mostly paid off for them by Shirley.

David had begun winning best guitarist awards at comps and was picked from school jazz bands to be in feature bands that would go on tour interstate as ambassador. He played in rock bands through high school, then went on to university to study music and business. He joined new bands, went on more interstate tours, his band won local and state music awards including best alternative album, and landed a 3-page feature in the paper about how they’d achieved success.

Courier Mail 1998

He then went on to join an ARIA-nominated Billboard top 20 act ‘Chaise’ and performed on a Channel 10 broadcast to 2 million people on a Saturday night.

David then began writing entire albums of his own music to travel and tour on his own sound.

Early 2000s

David would visit his mother each week during university to catch up, get life advice, play her new music he’d written, and she would encourage him to get back out and try even harder.

During one visit, Jamie stormed in, standing over her and shouting that he needed money for a loan. He got it from her by force and then left. Shocked, David had never seen him do that to her before, but he had experienced it himself.

After Jamie left, she explained that ‘since he met that “Dee,”’ he was doing it more and more often.

She was frightened, embarrassed, and mortified that day, but mostly angry at him. As soon as Jamie left, she exclaimed, “That’s it, he’s out of the will!”

On a subsequent visit, she elaborated as to why. “He’s already got a house. That’s your room there.” David mentioned to her that Jamie would call and make threats not to visit her and not to accept gifts. She would reply, “Oh, don’t worry about him. He’s had way more than you.”

Later, on another visit, she returned in a good dress and elegant hat and stated proudly she had been at the lawyers.

She explained that she had paid off Jamie and Dee’s house for them, but he and his wife had redrawn another $35,000 for furniture and holidays and expected Shirley to pay it back.

All the while between visits, David was building his music career in the city. He would visit his mother for life advice, report progress, and play new songs. Her support was key — someone to impress with his creative efforts who wanted the music mission to succeed.

Christmas December 2007
At the family Christmas party, Jamie became suddenly irrationally and uncontrollably enraged, barking commands with clenched fists that David was not to visit his mother anymore. Jamie’s sudden violent rage was so extreme he had to be held back by men at the gathering. David was deterred by the threats and began visiting less often.

May 2008
Even though estranged for most of the previous decade, Dee suddenly started visiting Shirley, cleaning and making cups of tea. She was dead a month later.

Dee aggressively dove in between Jamie and David while they were hugging at the funeral. She appeared to not want them to begin getting close.

The house was then looted by Jamie and Dee (cash, jewellery, furniture, appliances, record player, all photos of her, and all photos of David and her). They then immediately rented it out illegally without probate (Probate required by law in Queensland) on a forged will, through Ray White Rothwell, overseen by Carole Robins (David’s aunt). Rent commission was taken and kept. Dee worked at Ray White Rothwell as trust account controller and took the rest of the money. No statements were given, and David was told he had to visit to read what was presented as her will, on his own. Shirley and Carole both used the same lawyer.

He asked if they could stop pilfering from the property so he could live there – as those were her wishes. They said no. Carole said, “It’s just something nice to have,” while David worked to afford rent elsewhere and Carole collected rental commission from his property.

David was left by his other siblings and family to read the will on his own. He had to read the will in isolation. They did not want to be there while he read it. Not until studied later with expert input was it found to be invalid due to forgery, and that as always with any will in Queensland, before a property can be dealt with, a probate hearing is required.

2010 coast visit
Rebecca Ormesher and David Ormesher are David’s cousins. They invited him to visit with them at a holiday apartment on the Sunshine Coast for New Year’s 2009/2010. They caught up, chatting, playing tennis, chatting about life growing up. Rebecca visited her aunt Shirley through the early 2000s. They were good friends.

At the Mooloolaba unit during New Year’s, naturally they began chatting about how Carole, Jamie, and Dee had the place rented out now for almost 2 years. It didn’t seem right or what Shirley ever said she wanted. Rebecca made a revealing and astonishing claim: “Good of you to share after she left it all to you.” This  from a person who used to visit her around the time she claimed she had changed her will. Jamie and Dee were constantly getting back into deep consumer debt and used financial abuse to solve it.

2010 Moved back to area
Nostalgia and his mother’s presence guided him back to the area where he grew up and in the writing of the breathtaking “The Wrong Kind of People.” Perhaps a premonition of what he had already had and was now about to be put through to correct the injustice out of love and respect.

davidottomusic.com/the-wrong-kind-of-people

He wished to live in the house his mother left him, but his aunt, Jamie, and Dee said no and enforced it. She was still getting rent commission from her sister’s house into her agency’s trust account.

David’s band lived with him and while he was living in the area, the landlord was entering the unit with his own a key unannounced.

As it was now a matter of safety, David sent a letter to the current tenant, explaining the history and asking if he could live at his family home as she intended. They agreed.

Jamie however, upon finding out, threatened David: “If you move in there I’ll kill you.”

Dee then called David and asked if she was in his will, even though they otherwise never spoke, and she and her kids with Jamie were not in the version of Shirley’s will that was produced.

David was able to follow his mother’s wishes to live there for a brief period, but Dee demanded weekly rent even though it was unlawful to demand rent from an owner. She also demanded the money go directly into her personal Bank of Queensland account while the house was still in Shirley’s name. The executor, David’s uncle John, had visited from Germany on a personal visit, billed the visit to Shirley’s estate, then gone back to Germany, and still not put it through probate.

Jamie and Dee began trying to get David out so they could re-rent and keep all the rent money again.

Jamie arrived to defame him to neighbours, inventing horrible false stories to bring hate and violence on David, and did so effectively. Directly incited by Jamie, a neighbour’s son (also Carole’s tenant at Ray White) drove his motorbike in circles right next to the windows, would throw bricks on the roof, and shoot a nail gun at band girls as they came in for practice. Police did not act on the violent neighbour. Carole had a handle on them after decades of evictions through the agency and a very strong close history.

Carole / Ray White was also agent for the neighbour causing violent aggression and refused to kick them out to cease the attacks on her nephew, whom she had been stealing from the inheritance of.

The situation eventually escalated when the neighbour brought a false case, which was then dismissed after the judge found that the neighbour was lying in his report. Then soon after, the psychotic neighbour Jamie had incited began chasing David with an axe down the street. David decided it had become too unsafe and relocated to the Gold Coast, with still most of his belongings, studio and equipment at the house.

His mother’s gift had been working, he had begun booking up to 28 guests on a Saturday night in the light performance studio he had built out of the detached garage at the property. That all ceased to seek safety.

His renting reputation had been destroyed, so the room on the coast was rented for him by one of his band girls, Courtney.

David was pissed. He wanted things done right. Besides that short period in 2013, it had been 8 years of them just renting it out and pilfering from the property. He announced to his family he was applying for letters of administration to take over the executorship and put the estate through probate.

2014 August
Soon after that, david got a call from his uncle John in Germany, the named executor on the invalid will who was getting free holidays on the estate’s dime and about to be exposed. He threatened, “I could have you killed for $5000.” Why were they always so quick to the topic of murder.

2014 October
While on the Gold Coast in only a holiday unit, expecting to return to the house once probate was granted and the neighbour removed, instead Jamie and Dee looted the house after David was chased out by the neighbour’s violence. They stole David’s jewellery, cash, PCs, furniture, documents (copies of the will and death certificate), and guitars, including the red Stratocaster that Shirley bought for him when he was 11.

Jamie and Dee resumed renting out the property and kept all the money. David never saw the red guitar again. Many of the songs on his albums were written and recorded with it.

John demanded that before David collected the rest of his belongings he must sign a declaration held at the local police station that if anything is missing, they’re not responsible.

The removalist confirmed via text that it was Jamie who had kept the guitars. Jamie had admitted it to him.

Nov 2014
After finally collecting the little that was left of his belongings, David resumed promoting his music with weekly events at the Gold Coast apartment where guests would visit and pay to enjoy his music. 3 different songs every week for $35. They loved it.

Feb 2015
To expand on this success and put himself on the map, he now designed an epic event concept based around his unique beachy sound and fashion line.

He had the music. He had the sales process from his weekly events at the apartment. Time to expand.

The idea was to have a record-breaking stadium event with weekly meetings and monthly lead-up performances to prove out the concept and build reputation and momentum in the local music community.

He designed the event look and feel, sales training packs, and began canvassing for promoters to begin training.

He felt he’d need to train the group first to prove to the stadium that they could sell it out by showing them the pitch, show why they should give him the venue for the sale, and share in drink and ticket sales.

A weekly event venue was secured for meetings and also as a backup venue for the main event.

The Marriott could hold 2000. 20 promotion staff selling 10 tickets a day for 6 months would sell out the stadium, with at least the Marriott along the way as a contingency plan. The Marriott venue manager already agreed to it as a backup venue, so the project was on foot. David would have his career launch and the money to hire a lawyer to unwind the family inheritance theft.

A journalist from Dakabin (suburb behind Rothwell) applied to work as a promoter. She bragged she knew how to get publicity, but instead suddenly started making illogical false claims via text, contacting all the other promoters to make them quit, then sent David a text:

“Don’t make this any worse for yourself.”

She authored a scathing Facebook post full of false claims: “He’s not a musician, just an event promoter, don’t buy his tickets, he’ll just do a runner. If you hear from him contact police.”

She completely destroyed the event.

David then began again in June 2015 with a grass roots campaign, offering a free guitar and free trial class to build a following again and have the monthly events at a new venue he had hired in Southport.

Patricia continued to attack him online to stop this all through June 2015.

Both on the same day on 7 July 2015
While distracted and disadvantaged by Patricia defeating his income, before David could hire a lawyer to help with protecting the estate, John in Germany transferred the property into his name with the forged will and fake signatures on it. Without probate. This is illegal.

38 minutes later on the same day ACA ambushed David at his lesson studio with Patricia as the lead ‘Financial Victim.’ – after never having ever paid him any money.

Patricia bragged about being the one who fed the article up to ACA and appeared in the article as the main face of it.

The fake story ran deeply false claims and engaged direct attacks on his support network and safety, mostly to prevent building money for a lawyer.

The article claimed a musician who had performed over 500 times since age 12 doesn’t ever intend to put on a play at his concerts, so don’t buy his tickets. It was a financial attack.

In the Channel 9 editing room they used one of his music video clips but removed all footage of him performing and playing guitar to change the footage to fit the false claim that he doesn’t put on or play at any of his events. They also removed the audio of his original music — then claimed he’s not known for his music. Then finished the article with the same: If you hear about him putting on a music event — contact police.

24 Jul 2015
The piece aired to millions and was put up online to match google searches of his name.

He was shut out of his Southport recovery studio. All his students dropped off. All contracts broken by staff and supporters.

David, with no other choice and without a lawyer’s help, by himself filed in the court to remove the articles as they were intentionally false and causing death threats.

Patricia then sent the July 2015 article to another person, contacting them every day and encouraging them to appear in another article about David. Shayla then did so, bragged about it afterwards, and once the 2nd article was published, Patricia moved back to Clontarf (other side of Rothwell) from the Gold Coast area two weeks later.

Following the 2nd article, the Gold Coast rental unit was released back into his name.

January 2016
David received a snarky text from the new agent: “I know who you are, DAVID OTTO,” and proceeded to kick him out / lease not to be renewed in April. Notice to leave effective June 2016.

April 2016
Shirley’s house was sold while David was in a tailspin of pending homelessness, fake police reports from people seeing the article, and general daily chaos caused by them.

Jamie, Dee, and Carole had control of the sale proceeds from Shirley’s house, trying to find a way to get it all into their names. Uncle John in Germany had issued a bill for $15,000 against the estate proceeds even though he said he couldn’t afford the $300 for a probate DIY kit — they were now trying to rip each other off.

In order to get his $15,000, Uncle John now reached out to David for help in releasing the funds. David was livid at the fact that they’d sold it but hadn’t yet made the discovery that it was them causing the chaos over the past 9 months as he hadn’t pulled the title search yet.

In order to stop David or Uncle John receiving anything from the estate, Dee and Jamie invoiced David for $50,000 from a company he had never heard of before or had any dealings with, but that was formed by Jamie and Dee.

Carole Robins asserted that she was going to pay for a lawyer to enforce the fraudulent charges in an effort to ensure David got nothing from the estate.

The lawyer holding the funds illegally was reported to the Legal Services Commission and a reduced portion of the funds were released, but the lawyer John was working with refused to put David’s funds in a protective trust.

Channel 9 then started sending threat letters that they would take the money if he didn’t stop defending himself from the death threats caused by their fake articles.

David wondered if 9 itself was now just doing damage control to an initial piece that should have never been broadcast

They sent 3 more letters threatening to take what remained of his inheritance if he didn’t stop defending himself. It all had to go into land and a basic dwelling for him to have anywhere to live. They wanted it taken from him.

2018
David’s long-time drummer Kittie asked Shayla — one of the girls Patricia pursued and put up to doing a 2nd article by training her with the first — to finally start telling the truth. 9 applied for and got a gag order, then rigged the court case by threatening David out of bringing any evidence or having any witnesses to show what had been done to him, along with bringing fake police cases to then use them to threaten him out of defending himself after threatening to take the inheritance didn’t work.

2019 Feb + March
The case was infected with bias and contaminated evidence — people being brainwashed with fake materials then repeating them. That tainted judgment must be set aside.

One of David’s own lawyers, David Carter, death-threatened him, “I’ll f-ing kill you if you interfere”, hid exculpatory evidence, and changed the application to help Channel 9. The judge dismissed David’s 6 days of internally consistent testimony as lies and took lies (proven to be by the hidden documents) from defendant witnesses as truth.

David’s pro-bono lawyers pleaded no jury against his interests so no-one was watching. That was the worst bit. Public knowledge could have prevented it all.

Hence this pamplette.

Another article was published as more damage control, bragging about a win that never happened.

Shayla and Monique added to Patricia’s stories with horrific new false claims in a May 2019 broadcast.

This caused knife brandishings in the street, complete homelessness. 9 took the rest of his inheritance, but bankrupting him long before the trial to intimidate him.

The lawyer responsible has now been disbarred and sentenced for doing this to a number of prople but the no win no fee lawyer still took $40,000 after the emergency property was force sold.

They took and killed 16 healthy cats on the property in doing so.

Aug 2019
David travelled to the USA to perform for what might be the last time but Channel 9 followed him and sabotaged it, then published a new fake story on him.

Sep 2019
After the cats were killed and the remaining inheritance taken, faced with a fake case seeking life imprisonment that 9 was using as a way to intimidate him, after they already rigged the defamation trial outcome, David travelled back to the USA and sought support from the US government and after it all, all 22 fake charges were all either withdrawn or dismissed.

But in 2022 new fake charges were brought on Kittie, his drummer, police recognising her from the articles. She was also smeared to defeat his support network.

Reader warning.. please brace yourself or cease reading.

7 April 2022
After recognising her from the article, police falsely arrested then took her to the watchhouse in a different precinct and 4 of them proceeded to remove all her clothes and rape her to punish her for the things described in the Channel 9 articles that never happened.

She was then admitted to a mental institution for the next 4 months.

Footage from the watchhouse that night was formally requested through QLD Magistrates Court but QPS refused.

While this does not reflect desires of QPS generally, it does demonstrate the effect the inheritance theft articles have on people and why all traces of them should be removed.

25 Oct 2025
While displaced from base by housing manager allowing drug dealer to commandeer entry to her unit, Kittie was forced to stay in unsecured accommodation.

2 other guests recognised them from the still published 9 materials and suddenly began referencing  their contents franticly. In escalation later that night the 2 then invited over a violent associate of theirs out on bail, pointed out their unit, and he began bashing on the door violently to come in, then repeatedly punching at a glass window next to the door to unlock it but hurt his knuckles on the thick glass, gave up and went back to their own unit.

Discovered 2025
Upon searching to find out what had happened with the property for upcoming redemption in Supreme Court, David discovered something interesting.

Of all the products in all the suburbs she could have been a PR consultant for.. Real Estate in Rothwell..

The public needs to know the facts and the real story that were hidden from the NSW court by Channel 9. There would have been a very different outcome if the public had been watching.

Carole is now behind the same thing happening to David’s foster mother Mary Otto’s estate. (Shirley’s sister). This needs to be stopped.

Your support will contribute to legal costs and go to help prevent this from happening, clear the fake articles, and reclaim what was taken.

-> Why do this now?

It’s gotten too dangerous, we need public support.

We need public knowledge of the facts first so the court can’t be rigged.
Then raise funds for an exceptional legal team to act.
Clear off the internet and be made whole for all the losses.

His mother gave, they took -> stop them and pursue music at highest level in her honour.

Summary:

4 stages of theft: $500/$500, bike/guitar, house/house, career.

1989 – Jamie gets $500 + David gets $500, then David’s portion is taken by Jamie.

1990 – Jamie gets a motorbike + David gets a red Stratocaster guitar, then the guitar was taken by Jamie and sold for cash in 2014.

2008 – Jamie gets a house. David inherits a house. Then the house was taken by Jamie, Dee, John, and Carole, assisted by local police in 2016.

2015 – David built his own life, reputation, music catalogue, and career away from them, despite them taking the base his mother left. His career and reputation were then destroyed by Jamie, Dee, John and Carole through Carole’s PR consultant-assisted media pieces to cover their fraud committed to steal from the estate. From 2015 to present, they used fake Channel 9 articles to destroy relationships with venues and supporters, preventing him from gaining financial resources to protect himself from their crimes.

Losses caused total over $3.5 million dollars.
